Paul Romer has devoted his professional life to understanding better and measuring precisely how human ingenuity is a major force in economic development. He has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2018, was Chief Economist of the World Bank from 2016 to 2018, and conducts research and teaches as a faculty member at New York University’s Stern School of Business . He frequently writes for the national and international press. The economist extraordinaire is equipped with a roving intellect matched by mathematical acuity that he wields to marshal data and wisdom to extoll endogenous factors as the truly human engines of growth for a better world.
